  The Trust has been awarded multiple grant awards and cooperative agreements to restore wetlands and riparian habitats, including:

  • A five year cooperative agreement with Louisiana NRCS to provide restoration project delivery for Wetland Reserve Easement (WRE ) projects throughout Louisiana.
  • A new five year agreement with Georgia NRCS to provide targeted watershed analysis for the enrollment of high-quality wetland restoration projects, as well as for permitting, engineering survey and design, construction management and quality assurance for restoration implementation, and WRPO development.
  • A three year cooperative agreement with NY NRCS to provide Wetland Restoration Plan of Operations (WRPO) and engineering survey and design
  • Three 2014 Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Growing Greener Grant Awards to restore streams and riparian buffers in Indiana, Blair, and Berks Counties.
  • A cooperative agreement with Georgia NRCS to provide technical assistance for the delivery of 31 WRP projects, totaling over 20,000 acres of wetlands and associated buffers restored.
  • A cooperative agreement with Alabama NRCS to provide technical assistance for the delivery of 11 WRP projects, totaling over 1,000 acres of restored wetlands and wildlife habitat.
  • A USDA Wetland Reserve Enhancement Program grant to provide technical assistance for the restoration of wetlands on 17 WRP projects within the Ohio River Watershed of Pennsylvania, resulting in over 1,250 acres of wetlands and associated buffers.
  • A cooperative agreement with Maryland NRCS to provide technical assistance for the delivery 2 WRP designs on the Eastern Shore.
  • A 2013 Growing Greener Grant to restore 8,500 feet of stream on a WRP project and adjacent properties within the Juniata River Watershed of south-central Pennsylvania.
  • A 2012 Growing Greener Grant to provide technical assistance for the restoration of 5 WRP projects in Northwest Pennsylvania, resulting in 689 acres of wetlands and associated buffers.
  • Two National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Grants (2013, 2011) to provide technical assistance for the restoration of  streams, wetlands, and riparian buffers in the Juniata Watershed on 6 WRP projects, and
  • Multiple awards from the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds to provide technical assistance, landowner outreach and project identification for WRP.
